Kévin BARTHALAY
Walden Paysage (38)
Who is Kévin ?
After more than ten years devoted to the study of landscape in its many dimensions - ecological, aesthetic, sociological and philosophical - Kévin Barthalay founded Walden Paysage in his native Grenoble. Inspired by the Alpine landscapes in which he grew up, he seeks to convey the emotion and beauty felt in the heart of these natural spaces in each of his projects.
Attentive to both the place and the people who live there, he explores new forms of cohabitation between Man and Nature, questioning our way of living, from the intimate scale of the private garden to that of the global garden. A passionate gardener, he sees each project as a field of experimentation, an opportunity to learn how to work better with living things.
From natural, wild-looking gardens to more contemporary, streamlined spaces, each of his creations pays tribute to nature, in a sensitive dialogue between art, ecology and emotion.

HIS PROJECT : The Infinite Garden
The Infinite Garden is an invitation to wonder. In this enclosed space, no two steps ever follow the same path. Each diversions promises a new discovery, an immersion in the art of landscape design.
The journey begins beneath a forest of birch and mountain pine, where the contrast between the white bark and the deep green immediately captures your attention, punctuated by the crunch of the ground. A Scots pine stands guard at the entrance to a formal garden featuring red roses, sculpted yew trees and meticulous views leading to a stone bench, a promise of contemplation...
A discreet passage opens onto a Japanese garden: flamboyant maple, carefully pruned Niwaki, bonzai and natural stone make up a refined scene, a tribute to controlled nature.
The walk continues to a flower meadow. A wooden bench invites you to take a break, while slate slabs invite you to go further. The dampness, the scent of miscanthus and the sparkle of a pond evoke Normandy and living gardens.
Further south, Provence is revealed: olive trees with silvery foliage, jasmine on the walls, warm ochre on the floor and a shady brazier. Footstools on the gravel invite you to savour the moment.
The last stop leads through oak crossings to a dazzling orchard. Ripe apples, upright sunflowers, abundant vegetable gardens. The dream slowly fades.
The Jardin Infini is a sensory journey, a garden of moods, a garden of plants and traditions: Japanese, Mediterranean, French, English, Norman, nurturing, forest, aquatic, mountain... It's a garden of the world. A garden of possibilities!
