Pierre GIRAULT
Atzavara (66)
Who is Pierre ?
After a Master's degree in Archaeology at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, specialising in Archaeobotany, he went on to train in agricultural techniques. He obtained two diplomas: one in landscaping and the other in viticulture and oenology.
He has always had three passions: history, wine and plants.
Driven by a taste for risk and the desire to turn his vision into reality, he founded ATZAVARA in 2020. Through this project, he wants to fully invest in his love of the land and the Mediterranean, naturally weaving the link between these three worlds that shape his identity.

His PROJET : The Archipel
This garden invites visitors to cultivate the possible, in a space where dreams mingle with reality. For its creator, the gardening profession is not limited to applying certainties. On the contrary, it's about accepting the unexpected and the unpredictable. How many times has nature surprised us, making plants bloom where we'd least expect them to, or revealing unexpected yet harmonious colour combinations? How many surprises do the seasons offer to those who know how to observe them?
Working with living things means accepting that magic can emerge from disorder, from the untamed and the free. By challenging our certainties, the garden is constantly pushing back horizons, opening up new possibilities and giving birth to dreams.
In this plant world, doubt and hypothesis are not obstacles, but companions of hope. This project is a journey into an imaginary world, a beautiful escape where fantasy and reverie open the way to a new freedom.
The garden becomes a space where boundaries no longer exist, a doorway between reality and a poetic elsewhere. It has always been a place of infinite exploration, a living paradox where the natural flirts with the supernatural.
On the last island, everything seems imbued with magic. Yet this garden is very real. This marvellous world, which seems to have sprung from a dream, is no figment of the imagination: it embodies a veritable ecosystem, a world in itself.
Magic is born here for those who take the time to perceive it. In this space, ordinary rules dissolve, and futures are infinite. All you have to do is observe with fresh, free eyes - the kind of eyes that are so often found in the garden, and which are those of childhood.
This garden invites us to see differently, to explore new horizons and to push back, again and again, the limits of what is possible.
